“You can find every ethnicity in the world in Montreal. You can walk down the street and hear every single language. Right now, you look around and there are, like, five different ethnicities around you. I speak a little Spanish so I find anytime I hear Spanish in Montreal, I’ll pretend I’m abroad or from Spain. I just kind of listen to people and speak to them in Spanish. Specifically here in this square, I met a Columbian guy one day at one of the festivals. I just started speaking to him… I pretend I’m a tourist in my own city sometimes. Yet, Montreal still has its own culture, a French culture. I love that about Montreal.”
