“I am who I am because of my mom. She’s perfect in every way.”
“I’m not, I’m not.”
“She’s my perfect.”
They started crying.
“I guess I’m crying because I’m missing my mother. I know Stephanie had a great relationship with her, as did I. I spent every Tuesday for 33 years with my mother, and today is Tuesday. So it’s hard. I don’t remember ever having a fight with my mother; we always got along very well. My mother was always there. She was always the one who held the family together, and now that she passed I see that I’m the one holding the family together. We have yontif here, paysach here… we can have forty people at a time, and I’m cooking and preparing. I know Stephanie does exactly the same thing. We do and we think the way Bubby would think.”
