“Walking is difficult for me and the fact that the library lets me choose my books by phone, brings the books to me and then returns them for me is truly a blessing. Reading takes me into another world and without the books, the staff and volunteers, my days would be much emptier. I look forward to receiving my books so much, it is as if they were made of gold. I cannot emphasize enough how much this service means to people like me. It truly is a lifeline.”
Last year, 582 homebound individuals benefitted from services including book delivery, meal programs, and homecare to reduce isolation and increase quality of life.
