We didn’t go to business school, we didn’t go to culinary school, we didn’t go to design school, we just brought our confluence of timing and the right partnership and just made it happen and we learned from our mistakes. It was the best learning experience; it still continues to be—just doing it and figuring it out as you go on. It wasn’t really until we moved into this space, we were our own entity, that we were like, ‘wow, this does really work. It’s not just friends and family coming to see us anymore, there’s a desire for this.’ We are the customer. We wanted to eat this way and that’s why we started it.”
