“My daughter Leah is eight years old. For the past three years, she has participated in special family programming for her global developmental delay, which includes physical activities in the gym and the pool. Her balance, coordination, and gross motor skills have improved a lot, and over time, she has learned to walk!
As a family, we appreciate the respite and the joy that can be seen on Leah’s face as she participates in activities that are adapted to meet her needs. Knowing that we have the support of the community gives me great peace of mind.”
Last year, Federation CJA provided support to almost 1,000 individuals with special needs and their families. Social services, Jewish content, and recreational activities foster their integration into our community.
