“When I was a little boy, I would go with my mom and my late grandmother to the beauty salon. I was very artistic as a kid and I was always so enamored by the work that this hairstylist would do on my mother and grandmother. I thought ‘this is what I want to do’ from a young age. When I was fourteen and coming home from high school, I would stop at the local beauty salon and offer my services for free just so I could get some experience. You had to have a license in order to do hairdressing. So after I graduated high school, I went to hair dressing school and finished second in my class.”
